This site records laps run by students taking part in the running club at Sundance Elementary School, part of the Poway Unified School District. It is provided for the running of that club and nothing else.

Who may use it

The public front page, which lists lap totals by first name and last initial, is open to anyone.

Everything else requires an account. Accounts are not open to the public and cannot be registered for: they are created by the school for the staff and volunteers who run the club. Signing in with Google signs you into an account that already exists; it does not create one.

Accounts are personal. Do not share sign-in details, and tell the organisers if you believe somebody else has access to yours.

Using it properly

If you have an account, you are looking at information about children. Use it only to run the club, and only for as long as you are involved in running it.

Do not copy student information off this site, share it with anyone outside the club, or publish it. Do not use it to contact families.

Scanning devices are the school's. Do not lend one to anyone outside the club, and return it when you are finished with it.

What is on here

Lap counts come from barcodes scanned on a field by volunteers. Scans get missed, badges get held up twice, and devices lose signal and send late. Totals are corrected as mistakes come to light. They are a fair record of a season's running, not an exact measurement, and nothing on this site should be treated as an official school record.

Ending access

The school may withdraw an account at any time, and will do so when somebody stops being involved in the club.

Changes

Any change to these terms will be posted here with a new date at the top.
